My life in twenty-two sentences

As suggested by Stef on Topic #238: Write a power sentence for every year of your life, this is my life described in twenty-two sentences:

1989: I was born 17 minutes before midnight, which is the 18th of the month.

1990: My brother was born two days before Christmas.

1991: I was exposed to volcanic ashes when my mom was outdoors with me during the Mt. Pinatubo eruption.

1992: I was three years old and that’s all I can remember.

1993: Boy band music dominated the airwaves during the 90s.

1994: I’m at Kindergarten when we relocated because our house got demolished due to a land dispute .

1995: The year our youngest sister was born during the tenth month.

1996: The first thing that came to my mind here is that I was bullied by my classmates in first grade.

1997: I remember that my siblings are stuck in their seats watching Michael Jordan and the Bulls play against Utah Jazz (This made me regret for not watching the game live years later).

1998: Our relocated house got demolished again because we lost in a land dispute in court.

1999: Fractured my left arm when I got pushed while climbing a wall. (Why would I climb a wall? For fun I think.)

2000: I shifted from baseball to chess because of the fracture.

2001: Our chess team won the Finals thus earning me my first gold medal in any sports event.

2002: It was during our school sports fest when I won two gold medals both in Swimming and Chess events.

2003: With our new coach in our school, our chess team in the Midget Division (ages 13 years below) won first place! 🙂

2004: I fractured my left arm for the second time while playing basketball.

2005: I traveled south for an immersion in Buda (Bukidnon-Davao), an overnight stay in Notre Dame Lagao Community, and for an attendance in Marist Youth Congress.

2006: My last stay in high school as well as my first year in college.

2007: I’m in the mood to read Blink by Malcolm Gladwell as I’m currently inspired by dating a classmate of mine.

2008: I became a partial scholar in college (one semester only though).

2009: Got a summer job in a fast-food chain and I got fired within two months.

2010: I graduated in college with honors. 🙂

2011: I’m currently very far away from home while writing this.

    Allen: I rarely participate to the daily topics of The Daily Post. But upon seeing your suggestion, it seems fun to write about so I took time to include it here in my blog. I like your topic suggestion.

    I have many stories during a year though that I have to include only the things that came first to my mind. Kinda like a free association type of thing. Hehe!
