Making Tongue Twisters as Song Lyrics

Yesterday, we were asked by our teacher in enrichment class to create a rap song about the words we practiced in the speech laboratory. Me, knowing that I couldn’t rap, tried to just make a simple song using two-chords in a classical guitar, the A-D chord pattern.

And for the melody, I just made it up when I was taking a shower. So in less than a day, I have already made a new song using the tongue twisters as our lyrics.

Here’s the lyrics of the simple song we made.

Peter Piper and Betty Botta Song

Papap-parap-papap-papap-papap (4x)

Verse 1 (Peter Piper Verse):

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers

A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked

If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers

Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

Bopbop-barap-bopbop-bopbop-bopbopĀ  (2x)

Verse 2 (Betty Botta Verse):

Betty Botta bought a bit of bitter butter

A bit of bitter butter Betty Botta bought

If Betty Botta bought a bit of bitter butter

Where’s the bit of bitter butter Betty Botta bought?

Bopbop-barap-bopbop-bopbop-bopbopĀ  (2x)

(Not really) Rap Part: Verse 1 and Verse 2

Repeat Verse 1 and Verse 2

Papap-parap-papap-papap-papap (4x)

Here we are performing in front of the class.

Facebook Video Upload Fail

Quote

Here I am at a computer rental shop and paid 45 pesos so that I could get a high-speed internet connection.

I went here so that I could upload a video with my friends having some fun.

I had a feeling that it will go awry when I saw this image.

As you can see, the picture above shows that the upload percentage below is 73%, while the progress bar in the middle shows that only 2.16 MB of 116.63 MB is uploaded. And after 2 hours and 20 minutes, my hunch was right. It crashed.

Whether I like it or not, Facebook is still one of the best social networking site. It’s not a video-sharing website though it can upload videos.

Okay. I’ll keep my cool now.

I should have used YouTube and set the Privacy setting to Unlisted or Private.

I will be offline for 2 months starting next week. Not because of Facebook but because of personal reasons. Goodbye and thank you Facebook.

The Youtube Experience

Lately, I’ve been busy jamming with my friend Tsong Oslek to spend my spare time. Using classical guitar and keyboards as our musical accompaniments, we try to search for our next song to perform.

Our genre? Alternative rock, acoustic, Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

And to justify our hobby, I bought a cheap digital camera so that we can now upgrade from using VGA quality cameras from our web-cameras and mobile phones. And take note, the camera I bought was not for the purpose of getting pictures, but for taking videos. Here’s a sample video upload to my friend’s youtube channel:

No original compositions, all cover versions. Any song requests? We’ll try to make some.

Hoping to get more hits!
