11 days to go and I’m flying back to Mindanao for my next assignment for a year. Two years is too fast and I just felt that I’m really leaving MAPAC now. Of course, I’ll be sad that I’ll be leaving the beautiful people whom I have met and lived with for the past years I’ve been here. Will take time to detach myself from people and the place as well.
Whoa! This deserves celebration. With this reason, I reward myself of watching One Piece series though I’m still on the 130th episode. So far, I’m liking it. I’m not that much blogging but at least posting one entry wouldn’t hurt me. I have a journal to write on so that really bother me. The Holy Spirit had been very much inspiring me though my writings aren’t that inspiring. Geez. All right, this is enough. May the Lord bless us always. Amen.
Hey! It’s been months since I last posted about MSEAL. We lost the basketball tournament (MSEAL) but we still got another tournament in another events like table tennis, chess, and badminton. I’m not here to discuss about sports but about my hectic schedule just to remove some stress. Next month, I’ll be flying to Sri Lanka for a Marist meeting. That would create a bit of a problem since I’m teaching Math and I’m cross-enrolled in the Institute of Consecrated Life In Asia. Anyway, I got a volunteer substitute (a fellow Marist Brother) and an idea from my sister (a Math teacher) for my students to create a Geometric Dance. Right now, I inserted a journal writing activity for the students since I like journalling as evident here with my post. And that’s also the reason why I’m posting an entry coming from a long hiatus. I got to walk the talk. I’m not in the mood to write but free write is here to save. Also, this is my first time to use the WP app with my new Lenovo A7000 Plus. Anyway, here’s a sketch of an eye from a doodle session during my class in Theology of Religious Life. This post is such a blur and I won’t be surprised if you hate this.
I had an eye operation last May 6 due to a juvenile cataract. Now, I’m still recovering even though it has been two months already. These past week my right eye is still itchy and reddish at times. Thank God I anticipated this by telling the ophthalmologist to give me a dropper in case my eye irritates or hurts. Doc gave me a dropper with a bonus effect which I really like: antihistamine. Sometimes, I use the med just to cure my allergic rhinitis in the morning. Sometimes, I regret having this operation since I see no significant difference in my right eye sight (aside from lowering astigmatism whatever that means) but at least I have no problems looking to a foggy eye vision. Tomorrow, I’ll visit again the clinic and I hope doc will give me a go signal for my prescription eyeglasses. Through that, I can now anticipate faces from a distance so they won’t say I’m snobbish. I’m just a guy with poor vision.
Finally, a fast internet connection. I was in a hiatus just because of the slow connection in the past months. Allow me to free-write.
Last January, I purchased a Kobo tablet (an outdated model) and downloaded WordPress app and it didn’t help; I can’t even use the app. I’ve been itching for a long time already to post something here in WP and the circumstances just doesn’t help me. Another factor is that I am using a computer room with 20 plus units, all desktops. We don’t have a WiFi connection in the fraternity (our house) and I need to use the desktop just to be online. It’s even more convenient to do this than to get my tablet and go to a WiFi zone. I heard something about the Free Internet project in the Philippines this coming July and I don’t know how this will roll out. Just one of the few good news in the country since what’s happening here in the news is quite depressing. It is an issue close to my heart and not just a random rambling of a typical Manilenyo who doesn’t even know (and care) about Mindanao and its history.
I read a lot now because of Kobo. Reading is different. I miss blogging.
I’m not yet back since I’m preparing for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) which is quite unique here in the Philippines since we have an oversupply of aspiring teachers. When I was young, I never dreamed of becoming a teacher. Just to be clear. Even if I did not aspire to actually become one, I must. I think I’m starting to like it now. I haven’t got the experience yet not even a full-time practice teaching stint in the school. I’m becoming stressed a lot now because of the LET review. Actually, it’s not a review but a study since it’s not my major in college and I just took 18 units in Education just to qualify in the PRC requirements. But let’s see how will I fare in the exam. Until next time. Cheers!
4 years of blogging now. I still remember January 2011 when I am…
Struggling what to write
Posting about anything
Writing “for practice blogging purposes only”
Now that I am a 4 year-old WordPress-er, I would like to thank the readers whom I don’t know personally… yet.
I know it might sound creepy but I would like to meet you guys in person. I’m not a native English speaker but I will try to (struggle) understanding you talk when we finally meet. I want to know your stories offline.
Where? I don’t know. Meet me here in the Philippines or when I go to your country, send me a PM in the Contact form and I’ll try to ask Google on what place where we’ll meet.
It might happen or not and I’m just wishfully thinking it will.
And finally, thank you WordPress and I hope you’ll stay online a hundred more years or more!
